Corporate Message

Welcome to INT2

The cable business is known to be an extremely dynamic industry, and over the past decade INT2 has had the opportunity to be part of some truly groundbreaking projects.  Some of the initial hybrid fiber-coax builds, and a couple “world’s first” projects such as Time Warner’s 1GHz Quantumtm project and the interactive Full Service Networktm in Orlando to name a few.

Technological advances in optical and RF amplification, compression, computing power and digital networking have opened the floodgates for the types of services our clients can offer to their customers.  We are now integrating analog and digital video, voice and data services into one seamless telecommunications infrastructure.  The technology works and consumers have an insatiable demand for the services our clients offer.

In the past we focused our network development strategy on the implementation of fiber optic and coax cable, and the expansion of bandwidth and bi-directional networks.  We now must consider numerous architectures when developing a network strategy.  Although the HFC and transport architectures remain in the spotlight, various Internet protocol centric architectures that will be expected to connect almost all new digital devices to a common network management platform now share the main stage.

The access architectures for the voice and data communications that support all facets of managing the network must be integrated.  The systems and software architectures that reside on nettops – the settops, cable modems and other client devices that are enabled by servers in the headends and hubs have emerged.  And home area network architectures that will connect and secure these nettops to the broadband network are just now making their way into the main stream.  Understanding the advances in these areas is critical to operators designing and deploying these network components, software systems and applications.

INT2 was formed to provide the necessary skill and experience our clients need to implement their network strategy as the telecommunication and cable television industries continue on a path of groundbreaking, “world’s first” achievements.  Through the provision of network development, systems integration, and consulting services, INT2 is implementing “tomorrow’s networks today.”  We are proud and pleased to be at the forefront of technology deployments within these industries.

Please let us know how INT2 can help you.

Sincerely,

Jamey D. Orsborn
